The diver dies; The young man was not found

Shornur: The diver who participated in the effort to save the person who was swept away in Bharatapuzha died shortly after. Nampanthodi Ramakrishnan (62) died on Shornur Street. Faisal, originally from Chururuti, disappeared Wednesday evening after taking a bath in the river. Then Ramakrishnan came here for a rescue operation.

Ramakrishnan jumped into the water and searched for Faisal along with the fire brigade personnel for ten minutes. Meanwhile, after feeling ill, he has landed. Later, Ramakrishnan was taken to a private hospital in Churuurthi by firefighters, but he died.

Eyewitnesses said Faisal drowned in the river while swimming. Firefighters searched for Faisal until 6:30 pm on Wednesday but could not find him. Firefighters have announced that searches will continue on Thursday morning.

Ramakrishnan, who died, was summoned by people, including the police, to save people who were drowning in the water. Activities were also carried out including teaching swimming to children. He is an auto rickshaw driver and former city councilor. Ramakrishnan’s body was transferred to the Ottapalam Taluk hospital morgue. Ramakrishna’s wife is Vijayalakshmi. Children: Sanjay and Sanuja. Grandchildren: Radhakrishnan and Surya.
