The district of Sigulda will provide support for changing housing for people with disabilities

In order to provide support, facilitate the daily activities of the residents and improve the quality of life, the district of Sigulda will start implementing a new project. In this way, support will be provided to change housing for people with disabilities who have mobility problems, as well as better employment opportunities and access to services.

As stated by the city, within the framework of the project “Support measures to ensure that the housing environment is available in the Sigulda area”, support measures will be taken to ensure that the environment housing available in the Sigulda area for three people previously reporting a need for support.

The changes made to the housing environment will help people with disabilities to ensure they get in and out of housing, providing freedom of movement and more successful integration into society, thus promoting the participation of these people in the labor market and access to health, education and social. services, while promoting human rights and quality of life.

The project will be carried out by attracting funds from the Recovery Fund in the amount of 54,897 euros and state budget funding in the amount of 11,389.77 euros. The total cost of the project is 66,286.77. Implementation date – until June 2026.
