The Catholic community of the city of San Antonio prepares to honor its spiritual protector that bears the same name, and several activities are prepared within the framework of the patron saint festivities- This year the nautical procession will be held again, a rite that was suspended for two years due to the pandemic.
The activities start on the 10th of the current day with a student, police, military and volunteer firefighters parade on the main avenue. The march will also be to honor the heroes of the Chaco War.

On the 11th and 12th there will be festivals in Heroes’ Square, with the participation of renowned and great national and local artists, tickets will be free and free. The sessions will start at 21:00.

The tour of the waters will be enlivened by the band of musicians of the National Navy and the accompaniment of private boats is expected to give the special color to the traditional nautical procession.
After disembarking in the Antigua Imagen neighborhood, the march will begin along the main avenue, which also bears the same name as the spiritual protector, to the local parish, accompanied by the band of musicians of the National Police.
Military-police parade and retreat
For the parade on June 10 they will be present cadets from the Acosta Ñu Military Lyceum and different groups of the national police, such as the mounted, lynx, the group of dogs and the motorized one.
For June 9, a military retreat in the central square, from 8:00 p.m., and will be in charge of the cadets of the Acosta Ñu Military School, it will be to honor the national heroes and for the Peace of Chaco.
The local municipality makes some improvements to the local temple grounds for the patronal celebration, and some parishioners work to beautify the temple garden so that it looks splendid on the holidays.
