The Upper Austrian police arrested two men, a 50-year-old Romanian citizen and his 23-year-old son, on Sunday night in Kremsmünster (Kirchdorf district). The officers had been called to the apartment building because of the noise. When they arrived there was a loud argument, the 23-year-old and his father were covered in blood. Like the cousin also present in the apartment, they were heavily drunk, according to the police report.
While the rescue took care of the 23-year-old, the father became more and more aggressive. The officers called for reinforcements, the 50-year-old hit a police officer on the shoulder and face. He was arrested. The son then attacked the officers. In the end, both men were arrested. Four police patrols were required because of their aggressive behavior. How the dispute in the apartment came about is still being determined.
Dispute in Linz too
The two Romanians weren’t the only aggressive people the Upper Austrian police had to deal with over the weekend. There were also two arrests in Linz. At around 11 p.m., the police were called for an argument.
When the officers arrived, a 52-year-old man cursed them and pushed them away. The man could not be reassured and was eventually arrested. At around 2 a.m., a 39-year-old was taken to the Linz police detention center. The woman had called the police, freaked out, and could not be reassured.
