The discovery + streaming service will be available from January for 4 euros per month – IT Pro – News

Discovery will launch its discovery + streaming service on January 4. The service is now available in the Netherlands and costs 4 euros per month, or 40 euros per year. The existing Dplay service will disappear, subscriptions will be converted to discovery +.

The streaming service contains programs from Discovery such as Gold Rush and Salvage Hunters, but programs and series from other networks and channels. Among others, TLC, Motortrend, Eurosport, Animal Planet and Food Network are part of discovery+.

Discovery was already active in the Netherlands with Dplay, with programs from the same channels. That service will disappear and will be replaced by discovery +, which will operate worldwide. Existing Dplay subscriptions will be converted to discovery +.

In the United States, the discovery + offering also includes nature documentaries from BBC, but in the Dutch announcement is not talked about. The BBC videos were already part of Dplay.
