Using gravitational wave sensors, he discovered a UFO 800 million light-years away from Earth, which is either one of the smallest black holes or one of the largest neutron stars ever discovered, scientists said Wednesday.

In detail, the “Advanced Virgo” scale at the European Gravitational Observatory (EGO) in Italy and two observatories in the United States managed to discover the object last year. They also determined that it weighed 2.6 times the weight of the sun.

While this puts the new discoverer in what is known as the “density gap” of the universe, which means the absence of the observed objects between the limits of the solar density adults 2,6 and 5.

A huge gravitational wave

In turn, the scientists said that the body formed when another unknown object merged with a large black hole about 800 million years ago, which led to a huge gravitational wave that could be observed on Earth.

Neutron stars and black holes form when massive stars burn through their nuclear fuel and explode into phenomena known as supernovae.

Lighter-core stars also tend to form neutron stars. The heavier collapses into black holes whose mass is very intense and their gravitational absorption of dust and gases from surrounding galaxies.

Possible explanations

In addition, the team responsible for the research, published in the Astrophysical Journal Litters, said that there are several possible explanations for the nature of this body, the most prominent of which is that the original body may have been a relatively small neutron star “completely swallowed” by a black hole.

The gravitational waves that Albert Einstein predicted transmit energy as gravitational radiation, allowing the detection equipment to infer what mass was causing it to form.

“The universe tells us that we still do not know most of the story of the formation and evolution of compact bodies, and we probably need to review some of our current ideas about the formation of compact bodies,” said Mario Spira, a researcher at the University of Padova, Italy.
