In a statement this Thursday, May 20, 2021 on Shems FM, the Director General of Hygiene at the Ministry of Local Affairs and the Environment, Samira Lâabidi, estimated that the rate of discomfort caused by mosquitoes will decrease in 10 days. .
Laabidi said the ministry intervened for mosquito treatment in January and February, but this operation was suspended in March and April due to weather conditions. And to add that next week a hydrofoil will be used on the shores of Lake Sijoumi.
Laabidi finally recalled that the operations of the ministry for the eradication of mosquitoes will continue until June 15 with an area to be covered of 3420 hectares throughout the territory.
“The reduction in the nuisance linked to mosquitoes will be observed in about ten days thanks to the work that we are carrying out and that the Ministry of Equipment is also carrying out in the field” she concluded.
