Today, Monday, September 30, Jana Černá is retiring from the position of director of the U Pramene Louna Home for the Elderly after almost 27 years. She performed this function from November 17, 1997, ending at her own request. From October 1, the current deputy director Gabriela Hetzerová will lead the organization.
“I submitted my resignation for health reasons. I am on long-term incapacity for work,” Jana Černá told Deník.
At their last meeting, the councilors decided that the city of Louny, as the founder of this contribution organization, will not announce a tender to fill the vacant position of director. The reason is that a proposal was made to merge the contribution organizations Municipal Care Service with the Louny day care center and Home for the elderly U Pramene Louny, with the successor organization being the City Care Service with the Louny day care center. The change should take place on January 1, 2026, the councilors’ proposal still needs to be approved by the representatives.

“The city of Louny is currently establishing 18 contributory organizations. For a city of this size, this number is quite large. The current state of management and leadership of contribution organizations established by the city is indeed functional, but the question is whether it is effective, economical and therefore optimal. With regard to the large number of non-profit organizations, the city management’s constant effort is to optimize all processes and procedures within non-profit organizations,” said Zuzana Králová, head of the asset management department of the Louna Town Hall, in the material for the city council.
Since the beginning of this year, four kindergartens in Louny have been merged into two entities. On the contrary, merging sports contributory organizations proved to be disadvantageous from the developed analysis.
The town of Louny has six non-school contribution organizations, five primary schools, six kindergartens and one primary art school. The non-school contribution organizations include the Municipal Library of Louny, the Vrchlické Theater, the Louny Administration of Sports Areas, the Louny Administration of Swimming Areas, the Municipal Nursing Service with the Louny Day Care Center and the U Pramene Louny Home for the Elderly.
