The executive director of Czech Television, Petr Dvořák, suffered a serious pelvic injury in a skiing accident, his spokeswoman Karolína Blinková told the Blesk newspaper on Saturday. For this reason he did not participate in the Czech Television Council meeting this week. He is currently recovering at home. Petr Dvořák has been the CEO of Czech Television for 12 years.
Dvořák did not participate in a board meeting of Czech Television, where the case of investigative journalist Marek Wollner, accused by some former employees of intimidation or sexual harassment, was discussed. Wollner, who denies the accusations, finally decided to leave Czech Television on Friday after 25 years.
