One of the most watched documentaries movies of the decadeVaklush” will be with a special screening of September 15 from 18:00. Against zero ticket from the coffers of Lucky Home of Cinema everyone can experience the extraordinary story of Vaklush Tolev, collected in 100 minutes. The day was not chosen by chance for the 131st broadcast, as it is the birthday of the director Nikolay Vasilev, who a year ago made the pre-premiere at the same place in Plovdiv.
Immediately afterwards, at the Sofia Film Fest, “Vakluš” became the most popular film in the documentary program of the festival. After a tour throughout Bulgaria and Europe, at the end of April, the director and the spiritual teacher’s messages visited America and Canada, where they were warmly welcomed by the audiences of 16 cities.
According to Nikolay Vassilev, the film has a life of its own, and perhaps that is why it easily crosses world borders. He has already been selected for participation in 28 festivals around the world. He has been honored with 12 awards from America, France, India, Switzerland, Venezuela and the Philippines. Its most recent trophy is from the Swedish International Film Festival, and its penultimate award is the Golden Firefly in the Best Social Justice Film category at the Cannes World Film Festival.
On September 19, the most unusual meeting of “Vaklush” is coming up – with the audience of the Staro Zagorje prison. On September 22, at 8:00 p.m., there will be a screening in Sofia at the Cabana cinema, as part of the “I am Sofia” festival. Then, on October 5 at 6:00 p.m., there will be a long-awaited meeting in London at the Bulgarian Cultural Institute, and for Alarm Clock Day, November 1, at 6:00 p.m., a solemn screening is scheduled at the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Tokyo.
