PALENCIA, 22 (EUROPA PRESS) The Provincial Council of Palencia announced the investment effort in social services at the Provincial Council for Social Dialogue, which met this Thursday at the provincial palace to specifically analyze the actions envisaged in this sector for the next year.
During it, the investment effort of the provincial institution was revealed. The Social Services area thus has a total endowment of 27,461,636 euros with an increase of 23 percent compared to the previous year (5,155,827 euros). The increase in the Social Action Centers program stands out, rising by 300,000 euros (19 per cent), to 2,173,540 euros. Of those 300,000 euros of increase, 191,000 euros correspond to aid to local authorities for their maintenance.
Another program that has increased significantly is that of children, which rises by 37 percent, to almost one and a half million, mainly due to the increase in delivery of the CRECEMOS program, which increases by 400,712, and which assumes that children are free from 0 to 3 years in rural areas.
The youth area also increases, by 22 percent to 700,484 euros, incorporating new aid to local authorities to equip youth spaces. Recovered aid for the temporary custody of foreign minors, deactivated due to mobility limitations due to the pandemic.
Finally, the largest increase in the entire area corresponds to the University School for Nursing, which allocates 3,821,000 euros for the complete redevelopment works of the building.
This meeting comes after the members of this body, which was created in the summer of 2016, convened a new meeting focused on social services after the one held on 1 December to address the areas of employment promotion and economic development of the ‘Institution. by 2023.
