The children’s program of Cáritas Diocesana de Zamora prepares a week of activities as part of the celebration of Universal Children’s Day to be held next Sunday, November 20th.
The boys and girls of the three Child Support Centers, which Cáritas manages in the Diocese of Zamora, begin the week of activities with a participatory conference on the Rights of the Child entitled: “How do boys and girls understand and assert their rights?”.
Furthermore, the Assistance Centers for Minors will participate in the activity “Potion of Happiness”, a proposal by Cáritas Española for all the diocesan Cáritas that deal with children’s rights. This dynamic is dedicated to the self-knowledge of boys and girls with the aim of relating the Right to Wellbeing with Happiness. Participants will fill a jar with papers on which they have previously written or drawn things that make them happy. Once full, they will close the jar and take it home, so when they feel bad or sad they can open their jar and read those sentences and see those drawings that make them happy, with the aim of transforming that negative mood , have at that moment, a positive thought or emotion.
Instead, there will be another intervention, held by a psychologist and related to “Addictive substances and their right NOT to be violated or manipulated for their consumption”. The goal of this talk is to influence prevention and to be able to manage NO.
To conclude the week of activities there will be a sports meeting between the participants of the three Support Centers for minors of the Diocesan Cáritas.
Throughout the week, the official networks of the children’s program of Cáritas Diocesana de Zamora will include small videos, made by boys and girls, in which they will show what children’s rights are.
