The difficulty for Juventus to find a replacement for Higuain

Jakarta

Juventus never got a new striker this summer. There are problems facing the defending champion Italian League that.

After deciding to no longer use services Gonzalo Higuain, The Bianconeri were immediately diligent in looking for a replacement. A number of names began to enter the radar. Some are limited to rumors, some have been explored. But until now no one has landed in Turin.

Last August, there was Raul jimenez (Wolverhampton Wanderers) on the radar. Corriere dello Sport reports the Bianconeri tried to trade him with Higuain and Aaron Ramsey, but Wolves demanded hard cash for £ 90 million. Since then there has been no further news regarding the hunt for Jimenez.

Next there is Arkadiusz Milik and Edin Dzeko. The transfer potential of the two is intertwined. Milik reportedly wanted to move to Juventus while still being handled by Maurizio Sarri. He also refused to extend his remaining contract with Napoli until 2021.

Napoli tried to sell him, but Sarri was immediately fired. Juventus then switched targets to Dzeko, arguing that Andrea Pirlo prefers the AS Roma striker’s game, as reported Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio.

Dzeko actually listened to Juventus’ offer, but he didn’t insist on moving, especially since his wife had just given birth. Rome is also reluctant to sell it if it has not yet received a replacement, namely Milik.

So far, Roma have reportedly reached a personal agreement with Milik. SportItalia reports the Poland forward is willing to accept € 5 million per season plus bonuses, but there is no agreement with Napoli on price or which player to make part of the deal.

In the midst of the complexity of Dzeko’s transfer potential, Juventus have not lost their minds. They are approaching Luis Suarez, which was not part of Ronald Koeman’s plans at Barcelona.

But that effort is not easy. Sky Sport Italia reports Juventus only wants to recruit Suarez for free, considering the player’s salary will be expensive later. However, Mundo Deportivo reports Suarez is reluctant to terminate his contract if the compensation money given by Barcelona is not what Barcelona wants.

Not to mention the passport problem. Juventus wants the player to have an Italian passport, because Suarez cannot be registered as a non-EU player. This was possible because Suarez’s wife had an Italian passport too, but Suarez had to take the test first.

In the middle of the mess, a name suddenly appeared Olivier Giroud. The Chelsea striker is rumored to be bought by Juventus for five million euros. He is also reportedly willing to move to Turin.

But recently, Giroud denied this. He admitted that he was surprised to be reported about wanting to leave Juventus. Instead, he wanted to stay at Chelsea and compete with new striker Timo Werner.

Of the many strikers who have been linked, not one has yet joined. In the future, new names could emerge, given the new transfer market closes in October. Even so, Pirlo has asked management to move quickly.

So, who do you want to sign, Juve?
