Al-Marsad newspaper: Family physician, Dr. Saud Al-Shehri, revealed the difference between the keto and intermittent fasting diets, and which one is more beneficial in terms of weight loss.
Al-Shehri said, in a video clip on his account on X: “The keto diet is not a lifestyle system. Rather, a person may experience some side effects such as stones, and it can cause gout in the short term for some people.”
He added: “An excellent alternative to the keto diet is intermittent fasting. It is much easier and better and does not specify a specific type of food, but keto is very narrow and therefore difficult.”
He continued: “Keto foods are expensive, so I do not see it as a lifestyle and I always recommend intermittent fasting.”
