The Dichands: SMS Schmid’s best friends

What nobody knows so far: The SMS serial offender Thomas Schmid has been the intimate friend of the ” Krone ” / ” Heute ” couple Dichand for years.

The evaluation of 300,000 SMS from the finance ministry spokesman, short helper and ultimately ÖBAG boss Thomas Schmid is becoming more and more exciting – and it is increasingly moving Austria’s most dazzling publisher couple into the focus of the cause: Krone publisher Christoph Dichand and today’s Lady Eva Dichand were namely the closest friends of the SMS serial offender.

With Dichands on vacation in Sardinia & Ethiopia

From the WhatsApp chats and SMS from Thomas Schmid says:

  • That Thomas Schmid has spent numerous vacations with the Krone / Today couple Dichand. Including luxury holidays in Sardinia …
  • That Thomas Schmid but also enjoyed a “men’s vacation” with Christoph Dichand in Ethiopia …
  • And that Thomas Schmid Arranged lavish dinners for Today Lady Eva Dichand in his apartment, which he had his secretary L., who was suspected of false statements, prepared in detail for days – documented with dozens of text messages.

The Dichand couple received 10 million from Schmid

The relationship of Thomas Schmid and the Dichand couple were not only extremely close in their private lives – but also professionally. Schmid reports to Kurz several times how he commissioned Dichand to write stories about Kurz and Blümel in der Krone. And again and again he sends the execution message to Kurz: “Dichand makes story for us!”

Actually cared Thomas Schmid also for the fact that both Christoph Dichand for the Krone and Eva Dichand for Today received by far the most money from the Ministry of Finance. Together, the Dichand couple have collected more than 10 million euros from the Ministry of Finance from the Kurz government until today.

The most important service Thomas Schmid Christoph Dichand is likely to have done a particularly delicate matter. In the “tax discussion” about works of art by the late Hans Dichand, presumably many hundreds of millions of euros (including the most famous works by Klimt and Schiele), the Dichands apparently succeeded in the many years of “inheritance process” without the threat of tax proceedings the financial and thus without tax penalties, so obviously as amical as possible to complete.

Has Schmid solved the tax problem for Dichand?

In this delicate case Thomas Schmid – in the opinion of the FPÖ uncoverer Christian Hafenecker – even reported the positive execution to the Chancellor on December 3, 2018. In any case, Schmid sends an ambiguous SMS to Kurz: “Dichands are well on track – no lawsuit brought in so far!”

Dichand loses tax lawsuit against AUSTRIA

Christoph Dichand wanted in one of his numerous lawsuits to ban AUSTRIA from reporting on his “puzzling tax affair” involving his father’s works of art worth hundreds of millions.

Now that has Higher Regional Court Vienna dismissed Christoph Dichand’s action and clarified that the AUSTRIA reports were admissible.

It’s about the Estate of the Dichand family after the death of the Krone founder. Dichand senior apparently bought works of art from Klimt, Schiele & Co abroad in a tax-friendly manner and then “temporarily stored” them in Switzerland so that they did not have to be taxed expensively in Austria.

On the occasion of the According to consistent reports from insiders, there should have been violent differences of opinion between the Dichand family and the financial sector over the taxation of the millions of images. In the initial opinion of the financiers, tax payments in the amount of tens of millions of euros would have been due. The Dichand family denied that.

At least it should In the end, an “amical solution” was found, which Schmid, as Secretary General of the Ministry of Finance, “looked after” from the highest level.

Who wrote in an SMS to Chancellor Kurz: “Dichands are well on track – no lawsuit has been brought so far!”

All of this outraged the FPÖ MP Christian Hafenecker. He wants clarification.

Anyway, Dichand disappointed all observers who had hoped that he would shed light on the “tax cause” in the process.

Dichand was silent – and lost the trial he had brought before the OLG. If the regional court follows the OLG decision, the lawsuit against AUSTRIA will be expensive for Dichand. He will then have to pay the advertisement price to AUSTRIA for all printed publications – and that is many thousands of euros.
