The newspaper said that after the kidnapping ordeal and the difficult days that the parents of the Colombian international lived through, they found themselves boarding a private plane heading to the English city in a safer atmosphere.

He was released from his kidnappers less than two weeks ago 🔴

Now, Liverpool have chartered a private jet to fly Luis Diaz’s father, alongside other family members, to the UK for Christmas ❤️

She added: “It is said that the decision was taken for security reasons, and to ensure that they could spend a long period of time together after the traumatic events. The plane arrived at Liverpool John Lennon Airport on Saturday morning.”
She continued: “Liverpool FC flew Luis Diaz’s parents to the United Kingdom to spend Christmas with their son, a few days after they survived the ordeal of kidnapping in their home country of Colombia.”
She explained: “Diaz will join his parents on Merseyside when he returns from the international break, and the winger is expected to participate in Colombia’s World Cup qualifying match with Paraguay on Tuesday.”
She concluded: “Liverpool will return to the English Premier League matches next Saturday, as it will meet Manchester City at Etihad Stadium, as a win will allow them to overtake Pep Guardiola’s team at the top of the table.”
