Dialogue between the Minister of Foreign Affairs Russia and Ukraine di resor Anatalya, Turkeyfailed to reach an agreement, Thursday (10/3).
Russia was represented by Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, while Ukraine was also represented by Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba. This is the first time the negotiations have involved ministers from each side in the fourth round of talks.
However, the dialogue represented by Lavrov and Kuleba is still deadlocked.
“We have made no progress (in reaching a ceasefire agreement), but agreed to continue our efforts to find solutions to humanitarian problems on the ground,” Kuleba said, as quoted by Reuters. CNN.
“I will meet again with this format if there is a prospect of a more substantial discussion and for the sake of finding a solution,” said Kuleba.
Lavrov also remains on the conviction that Russia will show no signs of softening.
“We are not planning to attack other countries. We are not attacking Ukraine either,” Lavrov stressed.
He reiterated that Russia was only carrying out military operations in Ukraine to ensure the security of his country.
The dialogue in Turkey is the fourth stage of negotiations that have been carried out by Russia and Ukraine. A total of three previous negotiations were held in Belarus and did not reach any agreement.
