The DGI announces the extension of the payment deadlines of the SI and the IR

The Directorate General of Taxes (DGI) implemented the measure adopted by the Economic Watch Committee (CVE) on March 19, allowing companies with turnover of less than 20 MDH, who so wish, to benefit from the deferral of tax returns and tax payment from March 31 to the end of June.

The deadline of June 30 is maintained without change regarding the filing of tax result statements for the 2019 financial year, said the DGI in a press release.

With regard to the deadlines relating to the payment of the tax which a part of this category cannot pay due to cash flow difficulties, it is permissible in view of the circumstances resulting from the above-mentioned pandemic, to postpone the application of the surcharges, fines and penalties, concerning spontaneous payments of duties due which occur no later than September 30, 2020, underlines the same source.

In the same context, the Economic Watch Committee, meeting on April 14, adopted a benevolent measure, by way of derogation for the benefit of natural persons, by allowing the deadline for the annual declaration of total income referred to in article to be extended. 82 of the CGI as well as the payment of the fees due relating thereto, from April 30 to June 30, we are told.

Like the aforementioned legal persons, taxpayers subject to income tax in respect of their professional income, for the year 2019, determined according to the regime of real net profit or that of simplified net profit, and / or in respect of their agricultural income, may benefit from the same aforementioned measure relating only to the payment of tax, provided that the payment of the duties due occurs no later than September 30, 2020. And note that the taxpayers concerned benefit from office of this benevolent measure of formality.
