What are the main reasons behind the State Agricultural Fund’s decision to extend the deadline for farmers to correct their applications for assistance?
Great! Let’s get started with the interview. For the first section, we will discuss the main points of the article and the purpose of the extension granted to farmers regarding their applications for assistance. Our guests today are Mrs. Vesi Valkova, the Director of Monitoring, Reporting and Evaluation Directorate at State Agricultural Fund, and Mr. Mihail Mihaylov, the Director of Direct Payments Directorate at State Agricultural Fund.
Interviewer: Hello, welcome to our show. We’re here today to discuss the State Agricultural Fund’s decision to extend the deadline for farmers to make corrections to their applications for assistance under Campaign 2024. Mrs. Valkova, can you please tell us why this extension is necessary and what specific issues have been identified by the monitoring system?
Mrs. Vesi Valkova: DFZ informs the farmers who have applied for Campaign 2024 interventions that they have 5 more days, until November 25th, to express their disagreement or make corrections on their applications for assistance in connection with the data from the Area Monitoring System (AMS). The identified non-conformities from the SMP are related to irregularities in the farm size and the type of holdings.
Interviewer: Thank you for clarifying that, Mrs. Valkova. Mr. Mihaylov, can you share more details on the specific nature of these discrepancies and how they might be resolved?
Mr. Mihail Mihaylov: Sure. The resolution process involves cross-checking the data submitted by the farmers with the information provided by the Area Monitoring System. In case of inconsistencies, the applicants must make the necessary corrections within the extended deadline. The directors of the Monitoring and Reporting as well as the Direct Payments directorates are available to assist them through phone support.
Interviewer: That’s helpful. Moving on to our next topic, why did DFZ choose to publish this information in the Electronic Services System (SEU) instead of directly notifying the applicants?
Mrs. Vesi Valkova: We believe that transparency and
