The developers don’t want to work on Assassin’s Creed Red due to a toxic manager

It seems Ubisoft is having trouble developing only the announced Assassin’s Creed Red. According to The Gamer of the A Better Ubisoft team, the Ubisoft Quebec team does not want to work beyond the title for the presence of Jonathan Dumont.

This toxic manager has been accused multiple times of harassment, abuse, jokes with sexual undertones, bullying about newcomers and inappropriate behavior, but the Ubisoft bosses have done nothing: he has not been fired and continues to work as if nothing had happened. . According to A Better Ubisoft, Dumont made several good employees leave the studio and the climate he created on the team is terrible.

Ubisoft has not reacted in any way to these rumors, but Yves Guillemot in the last year has repeatedly talked about how much the team and the atmosphere have improved in various studios of the French company. Several particularly toxic employees were fired or fined.

Assassin’s Creed Red is a title with RPG elements set in ancient Japan. It will become part of Assassin’s Creed Infinity.
