The developer of the STALKER game series died near Bakhmut

Defending Bakhmut from the Russian Nazis, a Ukrainian soldier, a resident of Kiev, Vladimir Yezhov, died. In the past, he helped develop the STALKER game series.

Friends of the deceased told Dumskaya that Vladimir served in aerial reconnaissance. Recently, his unit was transferred to Bakhmut. On 18 December he contacted his loved ones for the last time and on 22 it was known of his death.

Relatives remember Vladimir Yezhov as a talented game designer and workaholic who previously worked at the famous Ukrainian studio GSC Gameworld and did a lot to make STALKER the way gamers from all over the world fell in love.

Vladimir Yezhov was also known among professional gamers: under the nickname Fresh, he played StarCraft very well, represented our country at the international championship of eSports World Cyber ​​​​​​Games and other prestigious competitions.

In addition to his passion for games, Vladimir Yezhov was a great patriot of his homeland. In 2013-2014 he actively participated in the Euromaidan, then he was very involved in volunteering. In the first days of the war he enrolled in the Kiev Territorial Defense and soon went to the front.

The deceased soldier left behind two children.
