“The derision and folly of the play-off of the Second Division League”

Two professional league soccer championships are held in Spain, the First and Second Division championships. Both form what is called Professional Soccer League, and is chaired by the ineffable Javier Tebas.

In the First Division, the last three classified they descend to Second, but of this one they do not rise, as it would be logical, the three first classified, only two ascend automatically. The third party, by work and grace of the decision of some enlightened person, has to fulfill penance of playing a ‘play-off’ with the three classifieds that are behind him.

The Second League consists of 42 days. All, within their economic possibilities, they have the option of upgrading to the honor category. Why does the third place have to suffer the derision and folly of having to prove your worth again and face again (once the championship is over) those three who were left behind?

What is the cause of this sports discrimination? Maybe the economic interest to have more football matches by the Professional League, and then sell them to the television platforms? Perhaps what is lacking is the capacity and intelligence to carry out the positions. And that’s how it goes in football, and in the country.
