United Development Party (PPP) Deputy Secretary General Idy Muzayyad spoke on the issue of Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Party Gerindra Sandiaga One will join the party. Idy said PPP and Sandiaga were still in the exploratory stage.
“As far as communication is concerned, we have in fact invited him several times to participate. And if we talk about membership, so far it is possible that this is in an exploratory phase, including Mr. Sandi himself. But if it is done, we are welcome,” Idy told reporters at Kopi Politik, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, on Saturday (7/1/2023).
Idy said Sandiaga Uno is still a Gerindra painting today. She said the PPP was open if Sandi wanted to join the party with the Kaaba logo.
“Only we realize that he is still in Gerindra’s facility. That means we will go back to him. Of course, for example, he later decided to join the PPP, obviously there were his considerations that made him decide “, he said.
He admits that they are currently trying to recruit new people to join his party. This recruitment aims for the 2024 election.
“The point is that in several regions we have found requests that those in the underlying PPP structure have a desire to invite Pak Sandi. Like, Sunday, in Yogya, right, please,” he said.
“And indeed we are PPP in these stages before the legislative elections, in particular we are currently conducting a sort of recruitment of new people. We are increasing the number of figures, troops, figures joining the PPP,” he continued.
