The Deputy Minister of Agriculture Sudaryono proposed PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) under the coordination of the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan). Responding to this, the Chief Director of Pupuk Indonesia, Rahmad Pribadi, said that the company is owned by the state.
He said his party was ready to implement whatever the government decided to do. “Indonesian fertilizers belong to the state. The state governs the government, we are ready whatever the government decides,” Rahmad said in Sembalun, East Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), on Saturday ( 28/9/2024).
He said his party could make changes. Rahmad said that the company implemented the government’s decision in the best way.

“We are used to it, we can change it for sure. Whatever the government decides, we will do it in the best way,” he said.
Quoted from detikJateng, Sudaryono revealed that his party was proposing a Presidential Administration (Perpres) regarding the management of the agriculture sector. In this Presidential Decree, Bulog and Pupuk Indonesia will be under the orders of the Ministry of Agriculture.
Sudaryono explained that the plan to submit a Presidential Decree governing the management of the agriculture sector will be carried out next year. This presidential regulation applies to the management of Pupuk Indonesia and Bulog which will be under the orders of the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan).
“Next year we will try to propose a Presidential Administration where Pupuk Indonesia, including Bulog and the Ministry of Agriculture will become one (order under the Ministry of Agriculture),” said Sudaryono when he gave delivered a speech at his work visit event in Wonosari, Claten, on Monday (23/9).
“What we want, we are not changing the group. The point is that the group is still there, but the Minister of Agriculture is the ‘Class Leader’,” he continued.
