The deputy head of the Kharkiv regional council and his accomplice were caught on a million dollar bribe. About it informs press service of NABU on Thursday, 22 July.
“NABU and SAP exposed the deputy chairman of the Kharkiv regional council and his associate-lawyer after receiving the last part of the illegal profit in the amount of 1 million 50 thousand hryvnyas”, – it was said in the message.
They extorted money from the director of a utility company to keep him in office. The bribe was transferred in parts, after receiving the last tranche of 350 thousand hryvnia, the participants in the corruption crime were exposed.
Now the question of informing them of the suspicion is being decided. Information about the involvement of other persons in the crime is being verified.
We will remind that earlier the official of the Kiev customs convicted of fraud for 6.5 million… The state inspector was supposed to control the correctness of the excise taxation of imported products, but allowed the excise-free import of petroleum products.
