The Deputy Governor may not be a cadre

PDIP Regional Leadership Council (DPD). West Java said he would name a “surprise” pair of deputy governor candidates for the 2024 West Java gubernatorial election on the DPD PDIP West Java Ono Surono asked the public to wait patiently.

“It is certain that PDI Perjuangan will name a candidate for governor and a candidate for governor who will be a surprise in West Java. Who will that be? We will wait,” said Ono when it was confirmed, Thursday (29 / 8).

He gave the code that PDIP opened the option not to nominate their own workers as cagub candidates. Today, the West Java PDIP DPD is still holding an internal meeting to confirm that figure.

“The candidate for governor may not be a PDI-P group, which may be paired with a group of another party,” he said.

Ono did not say which figure he was referring to.

He confirmed that PDIP had intensively investigated the numbers to be announced in the West Java gubernatorial election. According to Ono, West Java is a complex area because it has a large area and a large population.

“It is certain that the DPP of the party will study it carefully and carefully, because West Java is a large region with complex problems and a large number of voters,” he said.

DPP PDIP Chairman Puan Maharani also asked the public to be patient while waiting for her party’s candidate pair in West Java. When asked about the chance to announce Anies Baswedan, Puan just said to wait until Thursday afternoon.

Today is the last day for candidate registration for their respective KPUD. The KPU has opened registration from Tuesday (27/8).

Aside from PDIP, PKB has not yet decided which candidate pairs will be nominated in the West Java gubernatorial election. Recently, PKB Vice President Jazilul Fawaid explained that his party was still exploring fixing Sandiaga Uno with Acep Adang Ruhiat.

There are currently two candidate pairs registered with the West Java KPUD, namely Dedi Mulyadi-Erwan Setiawan and Ahmad Syaikhu-Ilham Habibie.
