The 52-year-old deputy director of “Tsar Simeon the Great” Secondary School, who was hit on a footpath under the Gerdjika bridge in Plovdiv, has died. Milena Petrova had very serious injuries after the accident and was unable to fight back. She died last night in the “St. George” UMBAL, where for days the doctors tried everything in their power to save her.
Milena Petrova was hit on the morning of January 12 by a driver with only 3 months experience behind the wheel. The Plovdiv woman was taken to the hospital in serious condition. Students, teachers and parents launched a campaign to donate blood as well as raise funds for life-saving surgeries. Many of the teachers and parents donated blood and prayed for the 52-year-old woman’s recovery.
