More than 200 deputies present today in the plenary hall consistently rejected the possibility of debating the proposals of the BSP and the DPS group of Ahmed Dogan to provide funds in the national budget for the payment of the second tranche of the Ukrainian aid.
The proposal of the BSP was rejected convincingly in a vote and in a re-vote on the admissibility for its discussion. In the re-voting, 94 MPs were “for”, 89 “against”, and 24 “abstained”.

As the proposer of the proposal, Ivan Ivanov from BSP highlighted reasons for increasing the budget in the field of agriculture by BGN 335 million between the first and second reading of the State Budget Amendment Bill. This proposal was rejected for consideration by the Committee on Budget and Finance.
Tsoncho Ganev from “Vazrazhdane” stated that if the possibility of securing funds for the second (for the year) Ukrainian aid is not considered now, then in mid-August or mid-September the party will request the convening of an extraordinary meeting to review the budget.
The second similar proposal of the DPS group, led by Jevdet Chakarov, also did not receive approval from the budget committee, and also an opportunity for debate in the plenary hall.
It was rejected with 88 in favour, 89 against and 27 abstentions.
Thus, the chances of the farmers being supported with a second tranche of the Ukrainian aid were burned by the people’s representatives.
