He then greeted “bravery and dexterity» of the Defense and Security Forces, united within the Committee for the Transition and Restoration of Institutions (CTRI) chaired by Brigadier General Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema. The latter having achieved the feat of changing the Libreville regime “without bloodshed, without violence, quite the contrary with the support of the people and the living forces of the Nation».

In an extract from his speech relayed on the Gabon Review website, the president of the second chamber of Parliament, Jean François Ndongou, declared: “the President of the Transition, President of the Republic, Head of State, recalled it so well that we find ourselves here among Gabonese, without any political allegiance. “There is therefore neither majority nor opposition. A single ideal remains our compass and our great source of motivation, the rebuilding of our State and the restoration of our Institutions with a view to promoting democracy, good governance and respect for human rights.“, he added, noting that “It is therefore through us and by us that the Gabonese people, who have totally supported the change of regime and placed their trust in the military authorities, expect to realize their desire to see the edifice of their institutions rebuilt as soon as possible.».

Thus, he said, “these people are eager to see the firm and flexible framework established which will guarantee both the political and social rights of each person, the regular functioning of the Institutions exercising legislative and control power, as well as responsibility, stability and authority of the executive branch». Build this new building that we all dream of”. Note that the ceremony was chaired in the presence of the Prime Minister of the Transition, Raymond Ndong Sima, the president of the Constitutional Court of the Transition, Dieudonné Aba’a Oyono.
