The departure of the Egyptian scriptwriter Ashraf Sabry

On Tuesday, the famous Egyptian screenwriter, Ashraf Sabry, passed away after suffering a severe health problem.

The Egyptian Film Syndicate announced the death of the famous scriptwriter, in a statement on its Facebook page, according to what was published by Akhbar Al-Youm.

The statement said: “The Syndicate of Cinematographers and members of the Board of Directors of the Syndicate of Cinematic Professions mourns fellow scriptwriter Ashraf Sabry, and we, with all sadness and sorrow, pray for him with mercy and forgiveness, and for his family with patience and solace.”

It is noteworthy that the late screenwriter Ashraf Sabry wrote a number of TV nights in his career, including “The Accused” in 1980, “A Widow on Warda’s Wing” in 1992, “No Law in the Living Room” and “The Conscience Series”, in addition to his participation in acting. In a number of works, including the “Citizen X” series, and he worked as an assistant director in the “Al-Kabir Awy” series.
