The Department of the Environment participates in a conference on sustainability and the 2030 Urban Agenda organized by the FAMP

This morning, the Commonwealth of Municipalities of Campo de Gibraltar was the scene of some training sessions on “Multifactor involvement in the implementation of the 2030 Urban Agenda at the Local Level. XIV Meeting of Environmental Education and Local Sustainability”, organized by the Andalusian Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FAMP) and the Andalusian Institute of Public Administration, dependent on the Ministry of Justice, Local Administration and Public Function of the Government of Andalusia.

The opening ceremony was attended by the president of the joint entity, Susana Pérez Custodio; the Second Vice President of the Provincial Council of Cádiz, responsible for the area of ​​Ecological Transition and Development, Javier Vidal; the subdelegate of the Andalusian Government in Campo de Gibraltar, Javier Rodríguez Ros; the mayor of Algeciras, José Ignacio Landaluce, and the president of the FAMP and mayor of Córdoba, José María Bellido.
In addition, we would like to highlight the attendance of the councilor and municipal delegate for the Environment of the City Council of La Línea de la Concepción, Raquel Ñeco, who has highly valued the development of a few days in which the Sustainable Development objectives have been valued, the plans executed at the municipal level in this area and the 2030 Agenda.
The program has incorporated presentations and round tables focused on progress on environmental sustainability issues, the evaluation and exchange of experiences on Municipal Plans Against Climate Change and awareness-raising measures developed by local administrations.
Among the round tables included in the agenda, highlight those moderated by Javier Vidal, as Second Vice President of the Provincial Council responsible for the area of ​​Ecological Transition and Development, in which the Sustainable Development Goals and multi-level and multi-actor governance were discussed. , with personalities of the stature of the deputy deputy director of Urban Policies of the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, Sonia Hernández; the coordinator of the 2030 Agenda of the San Fernando City Council, Fernando López Gil; the mayor of Algeciras, José Ignacio Landaluce; the president of the Professional College of Graduates in Environmental Sciences of Andalusia, Rosario Vargas, and the coordinator of Unitar’s Global Cifal network, Julio Andrade.
For his part, Manuel Abellán, as delegate of Joint Services and Environment of the regional entity, has moderated another of the round tables on Environmental Education and Sustainable Development Goals.
