The Department of Health recommends the flu vaccine – Nerja City Council

The Councilor for Health, Javier Rodríguez, underlined the importance of the flu vaccination, informing that the Ministry of Health and Consumption is carrying out a campaign for vulnerable groups such as children aged 6 to 59 months, the over 65s, people with chronic diseases and pregnant women.

In this sense, he encouraged Nerejeños and Mareños to join the flu vaccination, “an initiative supported by the World Health Organization (WHO) itself”, for which he invited them to make an appointment, which can be done on the ClicSalud+ web portal , the Salud Andalucía and Salud Responde mobile applications and the Salud Responde telephone, as well as direct contact with the Nerja Health Center.

Likewise, Javier Rodríguez recalled that the prevention recommendations of the health authorities should be followed, such as the memory dose against covid-19, noting that immunity is reduced over time, especially in the face of the new variants that are emerging , so it’s crucial that people most at risk get a booster dose.
