The Denver shooter is responsible for the fifth victim. A 28-year-old receptionist from the hotel died

According to Matt Clark of the Denver Police Department, 47-year-old Lyndon James McLeod knew most of his victims.

The exception seems to be the last one that became a 28-year-old receptionist at a hotel in Lakewood. According to Clark, the woman who succumbed to her injuries on Tuesday did not appear to be the target of a personal dispute, but of McLeod’s problem with the hotel where she worked.

However, the police still did not present a specific possible motive for Monday’s wave of violence and did not explain the shooter’s ties to other victims. However, she said she had been interested in McLeod in the past, but the man had never been charged with a crime.

According to available information, the man in Denver used to own a business at an address that now belongs to the World Tattoo Studio, near which he started shooting on Monday.

According to police, the shooting began around 5:00 p.m. local time. Two dead and one wounded remained at the first scene, and the perpetrator then drove away and shot another man at a nearby park.

A little later, a police chase followed by a shootout, after which the suspect reached Lakewood southwest of downtown Denver. He killed a fourth victim in one of the local businesses and, persecuted by the police, eventually hid in a hotel, where another shootout ensued.

Police said Tuesday that McLeod shot a policewoman who still managed to neutralize the shooter. Lakewood police spokesman John Romero called her actions heroic.

“She got into a terrible situation and put her own health to stop her,” he said, adding that an unnamed policewoman had successfully undergone the operation.
