The Democratic Party of Korea Urges Explanation for Fengshui Scholar Baek Jae-kwon’s Presidential Residence Visit

The Democratic Party of Korea urged the President’s Office to explain the situation in which another fengshui scholar, Baek Jae-kwon, had visited the candidate site for the presidential residence.

Democratic Party spokesperson Park Seong-joon held a press conference at the National Assembly Communication Building this afternoon and said, “The report that Baek Jae-kwon, known as the feng shui geographer, was involved in the process of selecting the presidential residence is shocking.”

Spokesman Park pointed out, ″Are you saying that it is okay to sing a contemplative song to a national person and sing Sajumyeongga to a national event?

People’s Power criticized this, saying, “It is absurd that the Democratic Party is distorting and agitating in the way that it relies on shamanism to run state affairs.”

In a commentary, Senior Spokesman Kang Min-guk of People’s Power said, “Professor Jae-kwon Baek is the highest authority in the field of feng shui geography, and the TF prior to the Blue House listened to Professor Baek’s geographic views.

Chief Spokesman Kang said, ″Professor Jae-kwon Baek is known to have met the then-Democratic presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung in 2017.
