Dembele continued his rebellion until the German team agreed to sell him to Barcelona for 147 million euros, becoming at that time the second most expensive player in football history after the Brazilian Neymar, who paid Paris Saint-Germain to terminate his contract for 222 million euros.
And after 6 years of Dembele’s rebellion against Dortmund, the player, who was absent from more than 30% of his team’s matches due to injury, returned to shock Barcelona after he informed the club’s management of his desire to move to Paris Saint-Germain hours before the end of the period set for his penalty clause of 50 million euros, what The Catalan club was in a crisis to find an alternative due to the lack of time.
And Xavi Hernandez admitted on Wednesday morning that Dembele was out of the club after he insisted on moving to the French capital club during the current transfer period.
