Many people are looking for houses in villages near the sea, real estate brokers said. The demand for such houses greatly exceeds the supply, which leads to a rise in prices.
Many people have realized the advantage of having their own yard and space for children to play.
Country houses, which can be used as a base from where the family can go to the beach in the summer, are attractive to a large number of buyers, writes “Trud”.
There is also great interest in the properties in the seaside resorts themselves. People look for vacation properties for a variety of reasons. Some want a second home by the sea that they can use for a few weeks of the year, others are looking for investment opportunities, and still others want a place to spend the entire summer.
Many people prefer to invest their money in properties that they can then rent out and receive income. These buyers typically look for properties in complexes with amenities such as pools, water parks and restaurants. But many buyers prefer properties for which they do not have to pay a maintenance fee.
About 60% of holiday property buyers are Bulgarians, about 20-25% are Europeans (Poles, Germans, Czechs, Slovaks), and about 20% are Ukrainians.
English people are also buying, although they represent a smaller share of the market than in previous years.
Buyers are most often looking for first-line properties with sea views, but ultimately the choice is determined by price and available supply.
The areas around Nessebar, Sunny Beach, Ravda and Sveti Vlas are the most popular. The second most popular destination is around Varna – St. St. Constantine and Helena, Golden Sands, and then come Sozopol, Kiten and Lozenets.
