This wine merchant from Drôme had a nose. It made it possible to identify a delivery man who, after several hijackings of packages, allegedly stole a total of 87,000 euros in bottles of wine. Explanations.
The trader is approached by a man domiciled in Dijon (Côte-d’Or). He offers him bottles of wine from a great house at a price that defies all competition, and therefore of highly dubious origin. The wine merchant alerts the Drôme wine producer in question. The latter, having, for his part, detected a malfunction during deliveries in the Dijon sector, in turn warns the police. Investigations identify the 26-year-old suspect.

Flights spread over several deliveries
During a search of his home, part of the loot is found. The delivery man allegedly stole 87,000 euros in bottles of wine. He would have multiplied the thefts of bottles during the various deliveries. Before choosing to sell them on the same territory and therefore to a connoisseur of the product and the price… The Valence public prosecutor’s office relinquished the case in favor of the Dijon public prosecutor’s office for the legal follow-up to be given.
