The delegation of the Embassy of Japan visited Villarrica for a cooperation project in the health sector

The mayor and the manager of the local assistance center were part of the act that took place on the occasion of the initiative in favor of the population.

As part of the non-refundable financial assistance program for community human security projects, Kusanone, which offers support to territorial authorities, a commission of the Japanese embassy in Colombia, recently visited Villarrica to fulfill the official act of delivery of biomedical equipment at the Miraculous Hospital.

With these instruments, intended since June to contribute to emergency laboratory, obstetrics, dentistry and clinical work, the donation contract was signed between Takasugi Masahiro, the Japanese ambassador, and President Julio César Pérez Ángel, on February 24 this year.

It is worth mentioning that, at the time, the Embassy was reporting, through its web portal, on the delivery of up to 81,248, approximately $284 million, for the execution of the initiative, framed in the satisfaction of basic human needs, to which the entity bets.

For his part, the mayor noted that although the equipment had been in operation for at least six months, the arrival of the Japanese delegation, led by Akamatsu Yoji, First Secretary and Chief of Cooperation of the Japanese Embassy, ​​also tried to verify which were used for the tasks for which they were required.

“With these equipment we can provide a better service so that our visitors or those who have to attend the medical center have better care,” said Pérez Ángel, who underlined that with these elements some that were already obsolete have been replaced .

It is worth mentioning that among the high-quality equipment enjoyed by the medical center are: defibrillators (2), hospital beds (4), transport stretchers (4), transport incubator (1), electrocardiograph (1) , laryngoscope (1 ), portable dental unit (1), vital signs monitor (1), among others.

Since starting his business in the country in 1989, Kusanone has completed 760 projects by the end of 2021, worth more than $64 million.

A maximum of 10 million yen is invested in each project, which is equivalent to about 300 million dollars.
