The degree of risk decreased, while the number R increased

The last seven-day moving average of the reproduction number was 0.8 a week ago on Monday, November 16. For the next few days, the figure remained a tenth lower. If the R number remained at 0.7 even now, the risk index within the republic would fall by another five points.

The risk score, which is used to determine the degrees of risk and the resulting measures, fell to 57 on Monday, which corresponds to the third degree. The Czech Republic is now in the fourth degree of risk, which has brought about a reduction in restrictions. An exception is education, where there will be a disintegration in the form of the return of some pupils to schools in the following days.

If the risk score is maintained at the level of the third degree for seven days, it is possible to proceed to a further reduction in the degree of risk according to the rules of the Ministry of Health. The government decides.

Three regions are approaching the fifth degree, the highest R is Rakovník

The risk index varies from region to region. The lowest is in Prague (45), Moravskoslezský (52), Středočeský and Liberecký (both 57). These regions have a third-level risk.

On the other hand, the Karlovarský, Pardubický and Vysočina regions have a risk index between 72 and 70, which is close to the upper limit of the fourth degree, which is at the level of 75.

A closer look shows that in the Karlovy Vary region the reproduction number is slightly above 1. The worst districts are Sokolov (R 1.14) and Karlovy Vary (1.06). The high risk score is also due to the high positivity of the tests in the region.

Rakovník currently has the highest reproduction number (1.54). In addition to it, Sokolov and Karlovy Vary, above the value of 1, are also the districts of Most, Kladno, Louny, Svitavy and Hradec Králové.

Havlíčkův Brod has the highest number of infected seniors per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days. Specifically, it is 1361 people per 100,000 inhabitants.
