The defendant’s defense in the case, known in the media as “the reckless driver of the Suez”, claimed that his client’s father had a malignant disease that could cost him his life.

The Prosecutor had established evidence before the accused, Ahmed Jamal Farghali, from videos that were monitored on social media, which recorded the accused driving his car on the public road recklessly and carelessly, endangering people’s lives, and what was shown in the report of the chemical laboratory that the seizures found in the possession of the accused contained narcotic jewels, and what emerges from the report of the chemical laboratory at the Forensic Medicine Authority of the positive samples taken from the accused, and their proof of his abuse of drugs seized in his possession, in addition to what witnessed by witnesses.
