Contrary to the intention of its founding fathers, whose goals were welfare, security and the rule of law, economic development, peace and freedom, economic growth, economic competitiveness, social progress and much more, the EU has developed in almost all areas. The failure of men and women in Brussels, consisting largely of deported incompetent politicians who had to be housed somewhere, made it possible for Europe to take itself out of the game. While China, India and even Russia can demonstrate good economic success, Europe is going downwards at a hellish pace. The economy in Germany is also stumbling under the traffic light government, which has now achieved notoriety. But Merkel’s government, which lasted far too long, did not necessarily bring about the best things for Germany or for Europe, as we can now see. It was also she who orchestrated the horse-trading with France, which gave us an unelected and unfortunately completely unsuitable EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and an equally controversial Ms. Lagarde as President of the ECB. Knowing full well that Ursula von der Leyen had already failed miserably in German politics. The President of the Commission is currently visiting Ukrainian President Zelenskiy with frequency that can hardly be surpassed and is promising him unconditional solidarity, further arms deliveries and financial support for the umpteenth time. And – listen and be amazed – the start of EU accession negotiations this year! Accession negotiations with a warring country that was one of the most corrupt countries before the war. What the war would have changed is more than questionable. It is also strange that the EU wants to continue to allocate billions to the Ukrainian war and does not say a word about peace negotiations, while even the Ukrainian Chief of General Staff is already openly saying that this war is unwinnable. So we’re throwing billions more into this senseless war, which we don’t even have, but can only provide because the EU continues to go into debt. A look at the list of EU accession candidates doesn’t give any glimmer of hope for improvement. With Serbia, Moldova, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania, North Macedonia, etc., other trouble spots and net recipients are invited to the table. The debt of more than 13 trillion euros and the number of unresolved problems are probably not enough for Ms. von der Leyen. While the rest of the world is working on a new world order and the global economy is also undergoing a complete overhaul, Europe is lining up to save the world, completely overlooking the fact that it will soon need a lifeline if it continues to be so incompetent and… irresponsible political forces are wreaking havoc in Brussels.
