The decline is coming. Plíšková descends the rankings after unsuccessful performances

Tennis player Karolína Plíšková dropped three places to 9th place in the WTA rankings after an early elimination at the tournament in Miami, where she defended her final participation from 2019. Petra Kvitová, who reached the round of 16 in Florida, dropped out of the top ten for the first time since last September and is eleventh. Tereza Martincová made it into the top 100 for the first time in her career, and the promotion from qualifying to the second round helped her break the line in Miami.

The world throne was defended by Australian Ashleigh Barty, who repeated the triumph in 2019 in Miami. Her final rival Bianca Andreescu, who gave up the title duel due to injury, moved up three places to sixth place in the rankings.

The winner of the men’s singles, Hubert Hurkacz, reached the top twenty of the ATP rankings for the first time after winning the title at the Masters tournament. He moved up 21 places in the ranking to 16th place. The defeated finalist Jannik Sinner also improved his personal maximum, rising by eight places and is 23rd.
