This was fully confirmed during today’s session of the Commission of Inquiry. The top figures of OVAM, all gathered in the Flemish hemisphere, also elaborated on that story.
The conclusion: the decision not to communicate was taken from politicians, in other words from the aforementioned cabinets. OVAM top woman Henny De Baets during a day-by-day reconstruction of how it all went: “The minister (Joke Schauvliege, ed) wanted OVAM to take no initiative regarding communication.” According to Schauvliege, De Baets quoted an email message, the then BAM – the current Lantis, or the client of the Oosterweel Connection – had to do that.
