The actor had to resort to deception.
Professional success came to Spartak Mishulin quite late – he began acting in films when he was already 40 years old. The actor became famous among viewers for his role in the film “White Sun of the Desert.” And for the sake of filming the film, the artist risked his work.
The fact is that Mishulin was a member of the Satire Theater troupe. Artistic director Valentin Pluchek was against his actors combining rehearsals and performances with filming. Stars who violated this condition were blacklisted by the director.
However, Mishulin did not want to give up the image of the warrior Said. Then he decided on a conspiracy: for the sake of filming, the actor shaved his head, but for theater rehearsals he saved a special wig. For several weeks, artificial hair helped the artist keep his colleagues in the dark. However, then, at the most inopportune moment on stage, Mishulin slipped off his head.
Pluchek was beside himself with rage as soon as he realized that he had been deceived. He demanded an explanation from the actor. But as soon as the director heard that he was filming with Vladimir Motyl, he immediately approved the project.
