The deceased husband Pfizer vaccine was former municipal secretary of Noordwijkerhout Rinus Adriaanse | Inland

The Noordwijk mayor Wendy Verkleij made this announcement at the start of the council meeting. The former civil servant was commemorated with a minute of silence. The thoughts also went out to former alderman and provincial administrator Ted Jansen and former registrar Huub Kolen, who also passed away in recent weeks.

On Monday morning Adriaanse was one of the first to report to the new injection site of the GGD in Noordwijkerhout. Under the rules, he was supervised in a chair fifteen minutes after his injection. Outside he collapsed. He was resuscitated on the spot, but later died in hospital. What was supposed to be a festive opening of the injection site at Leeuwenhorst turned out to be a sad day.

Mayor Verkleij was shocked on the day itself. “Today I had taken everything into account at the official opening of the injection site in Noordwijkerhout. Except with this. I am very upset about what happened and I feel deeply about the family. It is up to the RIVM and the GGD to make further medical announcements about this. As mayor, I therefore now want to stand next to those affected. To be there for them. ” On Tuesday evening she informed the city council that it was the former city clerk.

Adriaanse retired from Noordwijkerhout in December 2001, after serving that municipality for some 22 years. At the age of 16 he already entered the civil service and started his career at the provincial registry in Zeeland, but he found that work a bit too vague. “I wanted to be closer to the people I work for. As a municipal official, that was possible, ”he said in a farewell interview in 2001.

Although he had the idea of only staying in Noordwijkerhout for five or six years, he had to come back to it after protests from his children. “That turned into war at the table: a move from Noordwijkerhout was out of the question.” After his farewell to the municipality, he provided advice to several people when they asked for it. He was also a welcome guest at the local football association VVSB. There he was, among other things, chairman of the business club. “We are losing a prominent person within our club, a critical and committed supporter and sponsor of our first team at home and away games and a welcome guest in our sponsor home and canteen. Unfortunately, he is no longer attending the opening of our new accommodation ”, can be read on the website of the football club.

Adriaanse received a royal honor in 2002 for his voluntary activities for, among others, the disciplinary committee of the KNVB District West III, VVSB promotion, the VVV Noordwijkerhout and the Employment Agency ‘Het Spektrum’ in Voorhout. At the time he was appointed Member of the Order of Oranje-Nassau.
