ALICANTE. 105,497 euros and nature of ordinary credit, that is, whose copper will be subject to a haircut and a wait. These are the main features of the debt with the Elche from New Millenium Sportsignature distributor Kelme that requested the declaration of voluntary insolvency of creditors last fall. It was filed after the company from Elche lost a lawsuit and was forced to pay 3.2 million to a Panamanian firm (the ruling was appealed to the supreme courtbut the appeal is not expected to be resolved in the short term) being accepted by the Commercial Judgewho proceeded to appoint Pedro Algarra Garcia as bankruptcy administrator.
The negotiation of the agreement is under way, appearing in the list of creditors the mentioned credit contracted with the club of the Martinez Valero. It responds to the contractual link that New Millenium Sport and Elche initiated in 2014, for which Kelme became its technical ‘sponsor’, to operate the official store and the marketing of both. In the 2018/19 seasonthe last of that commercial relationship, the then president of Elche, Diego Garciacame to speak of “clamorous non-compliance” by the firm of the claw.
In the last months of Patricia Rodriguez as general director, she renegotiated with New Millenium the payment of the debt, accepting a haircut of 72,570 euros: it went from 194,570 euros of debt at June 30, 2019 (25,246 at June 30, 2018) to 122,000 at 30 June 2020. The bankrupt today soon breached the new payment agreement by the debtor of the maturities, for which Elche proceeded to impair the balance pending collection and which as of June 30, 2021 amounted to 106,363 euros. Finally, in the list of creditors, the amount of the credit has been set at 105,497 euros and classified as ordinary. He removes it and waits to agree on the creditors’ agreement will determine how much and how Elche charges.
