The conflict has left more than 1,400 dead on the Israeli side and more than 3,000 dead on the Palestinian side in Gaza, according to a latest report. Joe Biden is visiting Israel tomorrow while the United States has placed 2,000 troops on alert for possible deployment to the region in support of Israel. Diplomatic initiatives are multiplying to try to prevent a humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza as well as an spillover of the conflict. Washington “has not” at this stage any indication of stronger Iranian involvement in the war between Israel and Hamas.
