The death of the player, Nader Joukhadar, and his son, Taj, in the Syrian earthquake

The death of the Syrian national team player, Nader Jokhadar, and his son, Taj, in the earthquake that struck Syria, at dawn on Monday, and caused casualties in separate parts of the country.

Al-Wathba said in his statement: “The club’s management, represented by Dr. Youssef Salameh, mourns the loss of our club and the Syrian sport, our former international player, Nader Joukhadar, and his son, Taj, who passed away at dawn today, as a result of the earthquake that struck our country.”

He added, “We extend our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased.. We ask the Lord Almighty to shower them with the abundance of His mercy and to inspire their families with patience and solace.”

Jokhadar had a successful professional experience with the Jordanian football poles Al-Wehdat and Al-Faisaly at the beginning of the millennium until 2008, and he concluded his professional career in the ranks of Al-Wehdat in the years 2005-2008.

On the other hand, the Syrian Basketball Federation announced the death of Al-Orouba player, Albert Tankjian, as a result of the earthquake.

And the Syrian Ministry of Health announced that the death toll from the earthquake had risen to 237 deaths and 639 injuries.
