Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The Lebanese artist Samir Shams was laid to rest on Monday, after he died on Sunday, at the age of 81. His death was announced by the National News Agency, and the Minister of Information did Ziad Makari mourn him.
The deceased began his rich career, in the sixties of the last century, as a journalist, screenwriter, and later as an actor he took part in dozens of works that varied between theater, cinema, radio and television the renowned voices in the art of voice acting, or “dubbing.”
Among the famous Lebanese cinematic films in which the deceased participated: “The Guardian’s Daughter” and “Safar Barlak”, both of which feature the Lebanese artist. Fayrouz.
In addition to Lebanese films and series, the late artist Samir Shams participated in Egyptian series and films, together with leading Egyptian artists.
He published a novel titled “At the Edge of the Universe” in 2006.
