Iraqi media announced the death of the artist’s father, Hatem Al-Iraqi, following the death of his mother two years and a few months ago.
In a related context, artist Hatem Al-Iraqi is expected to perform at the New Year party in Erbil, Iraq on December 25, and it has not been announced so far whether Hatem will revive the ceremony or apologize for this emergency circumstance.
Hatem Al-Iraqi started to achieve great success in the art world with a number of songs that he released, including ‘Shaghltoni, Fadwa Lak, Torture Me, Tsebeh Love’ and others.
Hatem Al-Iraqi was born in Baghdad, into a family of six boys and two girls. Hatem worked as an oil salesman. He started singing while in school, then sang at weddings. His career started in the late 1990s, and his mediation became popular with his first album, ‘Khaliya Al-Asmar’ and then ‘Think About You’.
